OM Lecture by Guy Disney (2.95-00)

A good mix of students, OMs, current and former members of Common Room and Friends of Malvern College were present in the Lewis Lecture Theatre to hear Guy’s inspiring talk.

Guy lost his right leg below the knee after being injured when his vehicle was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade while serving in Helmand Province, Afghanistan in July 2009.  On 17th February 2017 he became the first amputee jockey to win a horse race at a professional racecourse in Britain, when he rode Rathlin Rose to win the Royal Artillery Cup at Sandown Park.
