OM girls' hockey matches v Malvern College

12 OMs came back to College to play the 1st XI and 2nd XI girls' teams as part of the pre-season training. During the evening the OMs played 4 mini-matches, which was quite demanding for some! The first of the matches was against the 1st XI and proved to be a well-balanced game with both teams creating chances on the break, but failed to convert. Next the OMs played the 2nd XI and controlled the match from the start, keeping possession well and always looking good in attack. Two goals in quick succession came from Daisy Powell and Kirtsy Imm and a clean sheet in goal from Sarvi Razavi meant they won. After a short break they played the 1st XI again, but this time the OMs had to defend a lot more, but always looked threatening on the counter through Georgina Bathurst and Rebecca Raby-Smith. The 1st XI took the lead through Antonia Worrallo in the final stages of the match, but Georgina Bathurst equalised in the dying seconds. The final match was against the 2nd XI and by this time the OMs started to gel with clinical flowing hockey. Goals from Rebecca Raby-Smith, Georgina Bathurst and Becky Connell ensured an emphatic win.

To celebrate the performance a trip down memory lane into Longy for refreshment and a dance was well deserved.

OM team: Sarvi Rasavi, Becky Connell, Kath Clark, Holly Makin, Georgia Hart, Daisy Powell, Kate Wood, Kirtsy Imm, Rebecca Raby-Smith, Georgina Bathurst and Alice Paterson.
